SPAIN – ANIEME, the Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters of Spain, will undertake trade missions to Colombia, Panama and Peru during the months of May and June.
The week of 7 to 13 May was held the Trade Mission to Colombia and Panama with the participation of a group of 7 Spanish companies. The furniture companies that traveled to Colombia and Panama, accompanied by technical staff from ANIEME, were: Montero, Dina Tapizados, Trasman, Gamamobel, Mobil Fresno, Azor and OB Kitchen. This action to promote business contacts with importers and specifiers is aimed at consolidating the presence of Spanish furniture in Colombia and Panama, both at the retail level and through the contract channel for furnishing facilities.
In both cases, these are countries that are going through an important phase of economic, tourism and urban development, which is embodied in numerous projects of various types, especially offices, hotels and restaurants, which makes imports of furniture to go on an increase. ANIEME therefore considers that this is a region of interest for Spanish furniture.
Moreover ANIEME plans to conduct a trade mission to Peru from 10 to 13 June. The association sees the development of sectors such as construction of all facilities, infrastructure and tourism, among others, makes Peru an interesting business opportunities for Spanish companies manufacturers of products for the habitat, especially in regards to the contract channel.
ANIEME President, Juan Carlos Munoz, stated “Spanish companies must diversify their sales to new destinations that offer interesting business opportunities in the short and medium term, such as certain Latin American markets.”
