USA / ITALY – Under the influence of the COVIS-19 crisis, the organizers of the International Woodworking Fair (IWF) in Atlanta, Georgia as well as the organizers of the Italy’s furniture industry supplier fair Sicam in Pordenone have canceled their events.

887SICAM1 IWF will not postpone but cancel altogether to meet again in the scheduled dates. August 23 to 26, 2022 for IWF and October 12-15, 2021 for Sicam.

“The decision to cancel North America’s oldest and largest woodworking event could not and did not come easily,” said IWF in a market statement. ”While no one can be happy with this outcome, we all can look toward the promise of a new, brighter future and all the opportunities IWF 2022 will bring. As we anticipate that future, always know that IWF will continue to move on course in this mission: For the entire woodworking community and across the industry landscape, IWF is where the woodworking business does business. That mission will never change”.

IWF is the main international woodworking machinery and furniture supply fair in North America and the meeting place for woodworking and related industries. It is the resource for industry suppliers and manufacturers to connect, provide solutions, and explore new ideas and new methods in manufacturing.

“The COVID-19 emergency at global level has outlined an economic and social situation that has led to obvious restrictions and uncertainties: in this context Sicam has chosen to postpone the event until October 2021. The one-year shift was decided to keep the annual trade fair calendar unchanged and to provide the best possible service to the sector”, expressed Sicam’s organizers.

Sicam is a leading and recognized international trade fair for components, technology products and accessories for the furniture industry that takes place annually in Pordenone, Italy. Next year will take place its 12th edition.
