BRAZIL – Brazil’s exports of Particleboard / MDP (Medium Density Particleboard) from January to May 2024 showed significant growth compared to the same period in 2023.

Total exports amounted to USD 52.64 million, marking a 50.0% increase year-over-year.

The main destinations for Brazil’s Particleboard/MDP exports in 2024 were China, Colombia, and Peru, with notable increases of 133.2%, 115.4%, and 10.6% respectively compared to 2023.

China was the largest importer with USD 14.69 million, followed by Colombia with USD 12.65 million.

These figures reflect an increasing demand for Brazilian particleboard in international markets.

Domestically, the state of Santa Catarina led the exports with USD 20.70 million, experiencing a significant growth of 122.9% from the previous year, followed by Rio Grande Do Sul and Sao Paulo.
