SPAIN – Spain’s furniture sector recorded a 3.8% increase in exports between January and June 2025, reaching EUR 1.608 billion. This represents an improvement of nearly three points compared to the same period in 2024, when growth stood at just 0.9%. On the other hand, Spanish furniture imports surged 15.8% in the same timeframe.
France remains the leading destination, accounting for 26.5% of total exports, despite a slight decline of 1.3%. Other major markets posted stronger results, with the United States ranking fourth and increasing its purchases of Spanish furniture by 8.1%.
Portugal (+5.4%), Germany (+6.3%), and Italy (+3.1%) also recorded notable growth, while the United Kingdom (+7.7%), Morocco (+17.7%), and Mexico (+5.1%) continued to consolidate their relevance as strategic markets.
ANIEME (National Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters of Spain) President Jorge Mariner emphasized that the industry “has recovered nearly three points compared to last year, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of Spanish companies to boost the visibility of their brands abroad.”
He also highlighted the need for greater investment in international promotion and stronger public support: “Our forecasts are moderately optimistic, but we cannot ignore the complexity of the current geopolitical context, which affects global trade and, consequently, Spain’s furniture exports.
