SPAIN – Spanish furniture exports saw a 2.3% increase in 2024, reaching over EUR 3.1 billion.

France remains the top destination, accounting for 26% of exports, though it saw a 2.8% decline. Portugal (+4.6%), Germany (+0.4%), Italy (+10.7%), and the Netherlands (+9%) saw growth in their purchases of Spanish furniture.
The U.S. stayed in third place but experienced an 11.3% drop, highlighting the need for ongoing support to regain sales volume. Mexico, ranked 9th, showed strong growth of 10.7% due to a high volume of furnishing projects. Other notable declines were in the UK (-10.2%) and Morocco (-12.6%).
According to ANIEME (National Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters of Spain) President Jorge Mariner, the 2.3% increase in exports reflects the hard work of manufacturers despite the challenging global geopolitical and economic environment, with rising export costs. He stressed the importance of continued international promotion and support for Spanish furniture brands to ensure long-term sustainability and growth.
The Autonomous Communities with the highest growth in 2024 were Galicia (+13.3%), Aragón (+39.4%), and the Basque Country (+4.5%). Catalonia, leading furniture exports, saw a 3.5% increase, while the Valencian Community, in second place, experienced a 4.1% decline in international sales.
