PERÚ – In January 2018 Peruvian imports of PB / MDP reached USD 5.7 million, a 2.7% drop compared to January 2017 (USD 5.9 million).

Despite presenting a 27.4% drop, Chile remained in January 2018 as the main supplier of PB / MDP to the important Peruvian market with USD 1.9 million (2017: USD 2.6 million). Followed by Ecuador, with USD 1.8 million (2017: USD 1.6 million), Spain with USD 1.1 million and Brazil with USD 0.9 million.

The main importing company in January 2018 was Novopan Peru with USD 1.7 million (2017: USD 1.6 million) and 30.4% share of the total imports of PB / MDP in the country in January 2018. Masisa Peru followed with USD 1.1 million and the Martin Group with USD 1.0 million. 

Arauco Peru was the importing company that saw its imports contract the most, going from USD 1.7 million in January 2017 to USD 587 thousand in January 2018 (-64.7%).
