Salone del Mobile 2025 Draws Over 300,000 Visitors

ITALY –  Despite global economic challenges, the 63rd edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano welcomed 302,548 attendees underscoring the event’s international significance.

The fair showcased 2,103 exhibitors from 37 countries, reinforced by a strong cultural program and a majority foreign turnout (68%).

A survey of 475 exhibitors revealed high satisfaction (88%) and a strong intention to return (94%). China remained the top country for visitor origin, though numbers dipped, reflecting its broader economic slowdown. Germany ranked second, with Spain and Poland close behind—mirroring growth in Italian furniture exports to those markets.

New international interest was evident: 350 key stakeholders from 50 countries attended, with notable growth from the UAE (1,801 visitors, double 2024) and Saudi Arabia, following a January cooperation deal. Japan also climbed to 13th place for attendance, and South Korea remained steady.

Student attendance jumped 32% from 2023, with over 15,000 young visitors. SaloneSatellite drew 39,000 guests and featured 700 emerging designers from 37 nations.

President Maria Porro called the fair “a beacon” amid uncertainty, emphasizing the sector’s resilience and innovation. Looking ahead to 2026, she pledged a more inclusive format focused on SMEs and emerging markets, while urging institutional support to ensure Milan remains a global hub for design.
