BRAZIL – The Orchestra Brazil Project – developed by the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) – organized the Buyer’s project business meetings during the 7th International Tradeshow for the Suppliers to the Woodworking Industry (ForMóbile), held from July 26-29 at the Anhembi Exhibition Pavilion, in Sao Paulo.
Five importers from Latin America, specifically from Bolivia, Colombia, El Salvador and Ecuador, were invited to negotiate with ten suppliers of Brazil’s furniture industry.
The Orchestra Brasil Project promotes the exports of suppliers to the furniture industry and Brazilian designer services. In addition to the participation in international trade shows and in the main Brazilian fairs aimed at the woodworking segment, the project offers training courses, conducts market research and creates positioning strategies in foreign markets. The growth of participating companies is significant. The export destinations increased from 76 to 80 in 2015 and the overall balance of the period points to a 9% exports growth of member companies while exports of non-member companies fell by of 55%.
This Buyer’s Project at ForMóbile 2016 was supported by Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves, Apex-Brasil, Informa Exhibitions and the participating companies: A&H Meyer, Brasmacol, Farben, Matana e Salvador, Metalsinos, Obispa, Promob, Renner Sayerlack, Rometal, SCM Group Tecmatic and Zen Design.
