BRAZIL – The national furniture industry is counting down to Movelsul Brasil 2020, the largest furniture fair in Latin America for shopkeepers and importers, which will take place from March 16 to 19, 2020 in Bento Gonçalves.
With less than four months to go until the opening of the fair, new exhibitors or companies that have returned to exhibit at the show account for 33 percent of the exhibitors. Approximately 90 percent of the spaces have been sold and 250 exhibitors are expected to show high-end interior design products, besides custom-designed and corporate furniture.
Large companies have already confirmed their presence in the fair, organized by the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis). Special projects have been planned to expand the attractions for the national and foreign public. There will be five pavilions for the exhibition of furniture and accessories.
The president of Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves and Movelsul Brasil, Vinicius Benini, points out that the focus of the fair at this moment of revival for the sector is the attraction of qualified visitors and the promotion of special actions to enhance the generation of business in Movelsul Brazil – such as the attraction of shopkeepers in the segment of e-commerce and corporate furniture; diversification in the mix of exhibitors and the creation of spaces of inspiration within the fair.
For the next edition, Movelsul Brasil has been working strongly on attracting new exhibitor profiles. In addition to large large-scale companies, an approximation was sought with decoration companies, design studios and offices. “We noticed a good number of companies returning to Movelsul Brazil in 2020. We will also have a pavilion especially for small companies, but with a high degree of innovation, attesting that Movelsul Brasil is intended for buyers from various segments”, Benini points out.
It is Movelsul Brasil’s C pavilion, where newcomers and those returning to Movelsul Brasil will present their full innovation potential. They are industries with aggregate design, mid-line/high products and other small businesses. Some brands already confirmed in this pavilion are Hara, Selff Design, Upholstered Bela Island, Essere and Bell Design. Versado, the new SCA brand, as well as Corian and Slimstone, will also be present at this pavilion.
Sponsored by Sayerlack, Movelsul Brasil expects to receive 30,000 professional visitors, including a group of 300 Brazilian shopkeepers and 100 international buyers with expenses paid by the fair and selected from the main target markets for the exhibiting companies.
