GERMANY – As of April 1st Maik Fischer (40) became new Director of interzum and ZOW. He succeeds Matthias Pollmann, who now heads the entire trade fair management division at Koelnmesse.

Maik Fischer joined the Koelnmesse team in August 2015. His most recent post was as Director for the foreign trade fairs Feria Mueble & Madera, Andina Pack and Alimentec in Colombia.

In particular, Maik Fischer’s extensive market knowledge and international experience make him the ideal candidate for the position of Director of the world’s leading trade fair for the furniture and interior construction industries’ supplying sections.

Through his work for Feria Mueble & Madera, he will encounter some familiar faces in his new position as Feria Mueble & Madera in Bogotá is an event within interzum’s area of expertise.

As a factor in interzum’s success, close contact with the industry is especially important for Maik Fischer: “We know who we are organizing the trade fair for,” said Maik Fischer. “interzum is very successful because it is geared to the needs of the industry.
