COLOMBIA – Organizers of the 13th Fair M & M announced the renewal of the agreement with Madecentro to continue as the exclusive sponsor of the event. The tradefair will take place in Bogotá from 9 to 12 March 2016 in the Corferias exhibition center.
The renewal of the exclusive sponsorship is a clear sign of support from Madecentro, Colombia’s largest company in the industry, that operates in the retail sector with close to 100 specialized stores of products and services for the furniture industry. With it Madecentro is aligned with the mission and goals set by the M & M Fair to support technology transfer and economic development of the forest, wood and furniture cluster. In fact, for more than two decades, the M & M Fair has positioned itself internationally as the most important meeting point of this industry in the Andean Region, Central America and the Caribbean.
According to data provided by the M&M organization, by February 2015 70% of the exhibition area had already been sold, guaranteeing the participation of leading national and international supplying companies from 23 countries among them from Spain, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Turkey, Brazil, Ecuador, the US and Taiwan, among others.
“Expectations are very high and we returned with greater force. We expect more than 14,000 trade visitors from across the region, including reforestation, furniture manufacturers and primary and secondary wood processors, cabinetmakers, carpenters, upholsterers, painters, builders, architects, decorators, forest engineers, industrial designers, companies and individuals directly or indirectly linked to the sector, especially from Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia and Central America.” Said Oscar Bravo, director of the event.
The M & M trade fair has through the years established itself as the ideal arena for marketing equipment, tools, supplies and services for the forest, wood and furniture industries. It is also the main forum in the region where the local industry can access the latest developments and technological advances of the leading global suppliers. Additionally, the March 2016 edition of the show will feature an exhibition area of 15,500 m2, 10% more that the exhibition floor of the immediately preceding version of 2014.
