Irineu Munhoz re-elected president of ABIMÓVEL for the 2025/2027 term

BRAZIL – On November 4, 2024, Abimóvel (Brazilian Furniture Industry Association) held its General Assembly in São Paulo, where the new Board and Councils for the 2025/2027 term were elected.

Irineu Munhoz, who has led the organization since 2023, was re-elected president. Founder of Caemmun, a furniture manufacturer in Arapongas (PR), Munhoz has previously served as president of the Sima (Arapongas Furniture Industries Union) and is currently vice president of FIEP (Paraná Industries Federation).

Munhoz expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to continue leading Abimóvel, emphasizing the challenges the sector has overcome and the importance of regional integration and associativism for the development of the Brazilian wood and furniture chain.

He also highlighted upcoming initiatives, such as the ongoing evolution of the Furniture Standardization Project in collaboration with ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards), aimed at improving product quality and international competitiveness.

Other plans include expanding Abimóvel’s actions across Brazil and strengthening projects like Brazilian Furniture and PDCIMob.

Munhoz also announced the launch of an exclusive Business Intelligence platform for members, underscoring the role of market intelligence in driving growth and sustainability.
