This transition at eight MEA sites across six countries eliminates carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from electricity use (Scope 2 emissions), thanks to on-site solar installations and sourcing from hydroelectric and wind energy.

Annually, this initiative reduces approximately 10,471 tonnes of CO2 emissions, equivalent to the carbon footprint of about 2,500 cars driven for a year or 2,700 flights from New York to Singapore.

Henkel’s commitment to sustainability is further underscored by its 2030+ Sustainability Ambition Framework, aiming for climate-positive operations by 2030 and a pathway to net-zero emissions.
