INDIA – Greenply Industries and Samet have launched their joint venture, Greenply-Samet, marking a significant milestone in the Indian furniture hardware market.

Officially named Greenply Samet Private Limited, this new venture began operations on October 26, 2023, with manufacturing slated to start on March 30, 2024, at a state-of-the-art facility in Vadodara, Gujarat.

The joint venture involves an investment of approximately EUR 27 million and will expand its production capacity in three phases over the next three years. The facility will produce a range of premium furniture hardware, including advanced slide systems, hinge mechanisms, and lift-up systems.

The primary goal of this partnership is to enhance the domestic market while positioning India as a leading player in the global furniture hardware industry. By integrating Greenply’s extensive market knowledge with Samet’s cutting-edge technology, the venture aims to set new benchmarks in quality and innovation.

Greenply is forecasting substantial growth in its plywood and medium-density fiberboard (MDF) sectors, with a projected turnover of EUR 30-35 million by 2026. This collaboration is expected to drive significant advancements in furniture hardware and provide exceptional value to customers.
