ITALY – Paolo Tirelli, a mechanical engineer with over 20 years of experience at Catas, has been appointed the new managing director of the leading European testing laboratory for the wood and furniture industry.

Tirelli, who previously headed the Mechanical Testing Department and the entire mechanical area, including the Finished Products and Fire Departments, is known for his deep involvement in technical standardization, particularly in wood, adhesives, and panels.
“I am proud to lead Catas, a company built on a solid foundation of competence and international recognition,” said Tirelli. He expressed his gratitude to the board of directors for their trust and acknowledged the legacy of his predecessors, including Angelo Speranza, Andrea Giavon, and Franco Bulian, who have been instrumental to Catas’ success.
