BRAZIL – Brazil’s wooden furniture exports saw a slight overall increase of 3.9% in 2024, reaching a total of USD 583.76 million, up from USD 561.78 million in 2023.

While some of Brazil’s traditional markets experienced a downturn, the overall export performance was driven by strong growth in certain regions. Exports to the United States, the largest market, decreased by 7%, dropping from USD 193.48 million in 2023 to USD 179.91 million in 2024. The United Kingdom also saw a decline of 5.3%.

On the state exporting level, Brazil’s export performance varied. Santa Catarina, which is a major exporter, saw a slight decrease of 0.2%, totaling USD 228.62 million. Rio Grande do Sul saw a significant 10.1% increase, with exports reaching USD 194.81 million. Paraná also experienced growth, with a 12.5% rise to USD 96.13 million.

Despite challenges in traditional markets, the growth in specific regions and countries highlights Brazil’s shifting dynamics in the global wooden furniture trade.
