BOLIVIA – Bolivian Particleboard / MDP imports reached USD 8.4 million in the first seven months (7M) of 2018.

This represented a growth of 20.5% compared to the same period of the previous year (7M-2017: USD 7.0 million).

Furniture manufacturer Indara was the largest importer in 7M-2018 with USD 2.5 million and a growth of 53% compared to 7M-2017 (USD 1.6 million.) Followed by Sociedad Synergy with USD 944 thousand (7M-2017: USD 815 thousand) and Munguia Roca Group with USD 696 thousand (7M-2017: USD 628 thousand).

Brazil broadly consolidated as the main supplier country in 7M-2018 with USD 6.2 million and a strong growth of 30.8% (7M-2017: USD 4.8 million). Ecuador followed with USD 737 thousand (7M-2017: USD 760 thousand) and Chile with USD 675 thousand (7M-2017: 399 thousand).

Chile was the supplier country with the highest growth of its Particleboard / MDP exports to Bolivia in the first seven months of the year (68.8%) followed by Brazil (30.8%).
