CHILE –   Arauco posted revenues of USD 1,509.5 million in the third quarter of 2025, an 11% decline compared with the same period in 2024.

The company recorded a net loss of USD 0.2 million, reversing USD 230.8 million in profits earned a year earlier, mainly due to lower operating income. Adjusted EBITDA fell 62.4% to USD 281.4 million, driven by weaker results in the pulp and forestry segments.

Sales volumes for wood panels decreased 6% year-on-year. In the United States, particleboard demand continued to soften due to oversupply across all regions and persistent weakness in the furniture sector. Prices remained under pressure amid tariff uncertainty.
In Latin America, MDF volumes rose slightly despite oversupply, while particleboard demand remained solid with modest price increases in some markets.

Plywood maintained its positive momentum, with higher sales and price improvements in several regions. The U.S. market remained stable, supported by limited supply and slight price gains.

Capital expenditures totaled USD 896.5 million in the quarter, up USD 416.2 million from the previous period. Most of the spending was tied to the Sucuriú Project in Brazil, including anticipated payments for long-term wood supply agreements.

The Sucuriú mill will have a production capacity of 3.5 million tons per year and is scheduled to begin operations by late 2027. During 3Q 2025, the project reached a key milestone with the start of the mechanical erection phase. Overall progress reached 25.7% as of September, with 6,000 workers active on site and more than 9 million work hours accumulated since the project began.
