CHILE – For the world to be sustainable, it needs wood. The purpose of Arauco is to contribute forestry products to the lives of millions of people by enabling the operation of its industrial plants.

In order to make these challenges a reality, Arauco is adding to its logistic chain more wood suppliers, local producers and people who want to plant their fields. In fact, the company must purchase a significant proportion of its industrial demand from the forest owners’ market and, in this context, adding more partners and suppliers is key to guaranteeing the supply of timber.

These new suppliers have the possibility of acquiring tools and knowledge that will enable them to develop and maximize the use of the tree, as well as adding value to the territories and landscapes where they are present, considering that Arauco’s Protected Productive Landscapes model is precisely in line with contributing to local development.

The Forestry Purchasing Department, together with the Property Assets Department, of Araruco, is developing customized commercial strategies for each landowner who is interested in making these lands available for the forestry industry.
