CHILE –    Arauco has formally joined the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) as part of its ongoing commitment to transparency and sustainability.

Through this initiative, the company will report in detail the risks and opportunities its operations face in relation to nature, following global best practices.

Becoming a TNFD Adopter represents more than a reporting exercise—it is a public statement that nature lies at the core of Arauco’s business model and strategic decision-making.

“For us, nature is not just another resource; it is the foundation on which we build our future. This step reaffirms that protecting nature is at the heart of our growth strategy,” said María Soledad Vial, Sustainability and Impact Deputy Manager at Arauco.

With this commitment, Arauco joins leading forestry companies such as Suzano, UPM, Oji, Smurfit Westrock, and Sumitomo Forestry. Together, these organizations now represent more than half of the world’s top forestry companies under the TNFD framework, advancing collective efforts toward a more sustainable and transparent global forest industry.
