COLOMBIA - The national export awards in their respective categories were presented by Analdex and ProColombia during the recent National Export Congress.
A total of 196 nominations were received, of which seven companies and two journalists received from the hands of the President of the Republic, Gustavo Petro, the highest award for foreign trade in Colombia.
In the cross-border e-commerce category, 12 companies applied and after the jury's deliberation, the award was granted to RTA Muebles, a company with manufacturing facilities in Yumbo, Valle and Cartagena, Bolivar.
The jurors highlighted the company's development of its commercial and logistical platform abroad, focused one hundred percent on marketing through online platforms, located in the U.S., Chile, Peru and Spain. The jury also highlighted the company's resilience, creativity and dynamism in reaching new markets during the pandemic crisis, resulting in the penetration of the European market.
In 2021 RTA Muebles exported USD 24.4 million distributed in 19 countries, representing a growth of 57 percent compared to 2020.
The company also inaugurated its manufacturing plant in Cartagena with an investment in machinery and state-of-the-art technology of close to USD 3 million. At the beginning of 2022 they inaugurated their distribution center in Spain. Thus reinforcing its export strategy to the U.S. and Europe.
