Wellborn Cabinet will Invest USD 17 million

USA - Wellborn Cabinet a family-owned Kitchen furniture company plans to invest USD 17 million in an expansion project that will create 415 jobs over five years.

998WELLBORNWellborn Cabinet announced last week they are expanding and opening a new kitchen and bathroom cabinet factory in Oxford, Alabama.

The company has been present in Alabama since 1961 when founder and CEO Paul Welborn started the company that currently employs over 1,000 at its Ashland plant.

Construction is set to begin next spring. The facility, to be built on 60 acres (24 hectares) in Oxford, Alabama, should begin operations in the fall of 2024.

"As we were looking at areas for expansion opportunities, we wanted to continue our growth within the state of Alabama," company President and CEO Paul Wellborn said. "Oxford was very accommodating and helpful throughout the process."
