The numerous contract projects of all kinds, especially in the hotel, residential and office fields, make furniture imports are experiencing a continuous increase. For ANIEME this is a market of special interest in which we continue to invest to enhance the presence of Spanish companies with the ability to work in the contract channel for the furnishing of facilities.

Juan Carlos Muñoz, President of ANIEME, said that “Mexico is a market of great importance for Spanish furniture, ranking among the top 10 export destinations. The shopping potential it represents is more than 120 million inhabitants and it is a country in which the design culture has come to stay. Some of the most recognized architecture and interior design offices in the world are based in Mexico City and from them furniture is prescribed for contract projects both inside and outside the country.”

“The creativity and design of Spanish furniture are highly appreciated in Mexico and, without a doubt, they respond to the quality standards required for the real estate projects that are being carried out. Spanish companies with cutting-edge product and working on the contract channel have interesting business opportunities in the country, although it is important to point out the importance of having a consolidated distribution network to access projects through the prescription channel”, added Muñoz.
