COLOMBIA - The manufacturer of ready-to-assemble furniture RTA Muebles (formerly RTA Design) recently put into operation significant investments at its plant in Yumbo, Valle del Cauca.

The investments in solar energy cogeneration systems and extraction systems amounting to USD 500,000 are part of the company's commitment to the environment, which are evident as the Company holds the chain of custody FSC certification.

The investment in the solar panel system allows RTA Muebles to currently cogenerate 30% of its energy and the company expects to reach 50% of cogeneration in the medium term.

RTA Muebles, with sales of COP 66 billion in 2017 (approximately USD 23.15 million) and a projected growth of 10% in 2018, also made an important investment developed by Colombian engineering to update its industrial extraction system. This investment was necessary to maintain the safety of employees and the industrial facilities in the face of the demands of growth.
