SLOVAKIA (WBPIOnline).- Swedspan, an international producer of wood based panels and belonging to the IKEA Industry Group, is to invest in lightweight panel technology and

panel board production in Malacky, Slovakia. Swedspan Slovakia will build the plant on the newly purchased ground next to the existing plant. Swedspan Group ceo Christian Schwarz said: "Lightweight wood based panels are the future of the furniture industry and Swedspan aims to be the specialist." Dieffenbacher will supply Swedspan with a 35m continuous press line and Vyncke will provide an energy plant based on biomass sources. Production is scheduled to start December 2013.
