Double digit growth in sales abroad for Alno Group in 1st Q

GERMANY (Notifix).- Germany's kitchen manufacturer, the Alno Group, published its preliminary financial results for the first quarter of 2012. For the first three months

of the business year 2012 the Alno Group posted sales of EUR 118.6 million (previous year: EUR 108.8 million). This represents a sales growth of nine percent versus the first quarter last year. Domestic sales grew by 9.2 percent to 86.6 million euros (previous year: 79.2 million euros), revenues abroad increased in the first quarter of 2012 increased by 10.1 percent to 31.2 million euros (previous year: 28, 3 million euros). According to the company, the growth was mainly due to increased export activities and the further optimized positioning of the four corporate brands: Pino, Pulse, Wellman and Alno. The continuation of the restructuring program with further savings, also led to a significant improvement in profitability. EBITDA for the ALNO Group rose from EUR -4.8 million in the previous period to +2.3 million Euro in the first quarter of 2012.
