BRAZIL (Totalmoveis).- According to the National Confederation of the Industry (CNI), the optimism of the furniture industries in relation to the national economy had increased

in August 2011. The Industrial Business Confidence Index (ICEI) reported that the furniture sector is still confident, with 58.8 points an increase from the result obtained in July (57.3 points). However, in August 2010 the index reached 63.3 points. In ICEI, values above 50 express confidence, while below 50 indicates a lack of confidence.
