USA (Notifix).- Furniture Brands International (FBI) announced net sales of US$289.5 million for the second quarter of 2010 vs. US$288.3 million for the same period in 2009. FBI
said net sales for the second quarter of 2010 reflect a net decrease of $12 million from the 2009 quarter in the company's ready-to-assemble business as a result of its decision to exit two unprofitable lines of business.For the 2010 second quarter, FBI reported net income of US$4.2 million compared to a loss of US$16 million in the second quarter of 2009.
