SPAIN – Alejandro Rosales, founder and president of the Spanish group Alvic, has died in Marbella at age 77.
The entrepreneur, who began at the age of 12 as a carpenter’s apprentice, founded in 1965 a small kitchen furniture factory, the origin of Alvic, which is present today in almost a hundred countries, has 930 workers and invoices 182 million euros, which makes it one of the main Spanish furniture companies.
Currently one of his sons, Javier Rosales, is the CEO of Alvic. His other two children, Carlos and Alejandro, are also part of the company’s management team, which presently has investments underway for 70 million euros.
At the end of 2019, a new 20,000 square meters industrial plant in Alcaudete will start operating. With this 14 million euro investment Alvic will de able to double its production capacity and improve delivery times.
