Snaidero wins the 2018 Good Design Award

ITALY – For Italian kitchen manufacturer Snaidero, design has always been a window on the future – the pursuit of a form of beauty which is not an end in itself but is distinctive and stands the test of time.

819SNAIDERO A viewpoint shared by the panel of the Good Design Awards of Chicago’s Museum of Modern Art, which has singled out a Snaidero kitchen for the 15th time as the winner of the prestigious recognition.

Founded in Chicago in 1950 and now in its 68th edition, Good Design is one of the oldest and most internationally prestigious award programmes for design excellence, whose list of prize winners epitomises the history of contemporary design.

The Vision project, designed for Snaidero by the Design House Pininfarina, its exclusive partner for kitchen design since 1990, is a perfect fusion of the key requirements for today’s design experience: inspiration and technological and materials research. The kitchen’s design concept reflects the contemporary trend of continuous domestic spaces, with seamlessly flowing surfaces and materials that bring an immediate sense of purity and lightness. This lightness is conveyed by the unique design of the base units for islands and peninsulas, a refined element crafted in stratified and shaped solid ash wood and designed with Pininfarina’s unmistakable style.

Thanks to the uniqueness of its products, Snaidero has been exporting its kitchens all over the world for over 50 years, aiming at a positioning that relies on the value of a refined design, totally Made in Italy.
