GERMANY – Schüller Möbelwerk KG, one of the largest kitchen furniture manufacturers in Europe, generated sales of 554 million euros in 2019 – a 9.9 percent improvement compared to 2018.
Exports grew 16.3 percent with a rate of 25.8 percent of sales, so shipments to foreign markets was increased to € 143 million – in 2018 exports reached USD 123 million euros. An increase of 12.2 percent in sales had been reached in 2018, when the € 500 million mark was achieved for the first time. Most of the sales were generated within Europe.
In its home market of Germany, Schüller Möbelwerk KG generated sales of € 411 million, which corresponds to an increase of 8.0 percent.
In the spring of last year, the infrastructural preparations for the planned expansion of production at the company’s headquarters in Herrieden began. The completion of the first construction phase, in which an additional production area of 60,000 m² is to be built, is planned for mid-2021 and the commissioning of the machines and systems for the fourth quarter of 2021.
For the current year, Schüller expects further sales growth. According to the company, the currently prevailing geopolitical uncertainties have not had a significant impact on demand. The current interest rate level and the still high level of construction activity also contribute to the positive business development.
