USA – SBA Group, one of Lithuania’s largest business conglomerates, has officially inaugurated operations at its first U.S. furniture manufacturing plant in Mocksville, North Carolina.
Representing an investment of USD 70 million, the facility has successfully produced its first batch of furniture, marking the start of full-scale production that meets all quality standards.
“This is a tremendous achievement not only for SBA Group and our team but also for Lithuania as a whole,” said Jurgita Radzevičė, CEO of SBA Home, which operates four factories in Lithuania. “It proves that with expertise, dedication, and detailed planning, even the most ambitious goals can be achieved.”
The new 46,000-square-meter facility will create 250 new jobs and is expected to produce over 2 million pieces of furniture annually, with projected first-year sales of USD 40 million. North Carolina was chosen for its strong furniture-making heritage, strategic logistics, and skilled workforce.
The installation of the plant’s equipment was completed earlier this year, followed by months of testing and commissioning. To ensure a seamless start-up, SBA Home brought together experts from both Lithuania and the U.S., including automation engineers, electricians, and technicians.
Radzevičė noted that the achievement demonstrates the power of international collaboration. “Our Lithuanian and American professionals worked side by side to bring this factory to life,” she said.
