Nobilia inaugurates modern kitchen plant in Saarlouis

GERMANY – Nobilia, the largest European kitchen manufacturer, recently opened its new plant V, located in the Lisdorfer Berg industrial park, in Saarlouis, Germany, with an area of ​​more than 100,000 m2.

934NOBILIA The opening ceremony was attended by all kinds of prominent personalities, such as Lars Bopf, Chairman of the Nobilia Board of Directors, Prime Minister Tobias Hans, his deputy Anke Rehlinger and Mayor Peter Demmer.

It took almost two years since the construction commencement ceremony for the large project to be completed in a production area of ​​105,000 square meters. Industrialization and the first tests have been completed in the 600 meter long and 250 meter wide factory hall. 100 employees: to start with, with about 100 kitchens a day, the production lines are up and running. And as usual at Nobilia, there is a lot of high-tech involved. In the final stage, around 1,000 employees will complete more than 1,600 orders per month. Total cost of the plant: 200 million euros.

As is known, the proximity to France, the most important foreign market, was decisive for the choice of the place. Plant V in the “Lisdorfer Berg” industrial park offers perfect logistical conditions, as Dr. Bopf emphasized. The site covers a total of 290,000 square meters and is therefore expected to allow for greater potential for expansion and growth
