LITHUANIA – SBA Home, a Lithuanian furniture manufacturer, will invest over USD 70 million to establish its first North American production facility in Mocksville, North Carolina, creating more than 200 jobs in Davie County.
Part of the SBA Grupe UAB conglomerate, the company employs over 3,000 people and exports to 50 countries. The new 46,000-square-meter facility will be highly automated, with containers of equipment already shipped from Germany, and will produce trendy furniture to meet U.S. demand.
SBA expects production to start at the new facility in October 2025. SBA Home Reported consolidated revenue of USD 348 million (EUR 334 million) in 2023.
“We’re excited to begin our U.S. journey in North Carolina, a state known for its strong business environment and opportunities for global companies,” said Jurgita Radzevičė, CEO of SBA Home. “With its skilled workforce, excellent infrastructure, and state support, we’re confident this project will create high-quality jobs and benefit the region.”
Governor Roy Cooper emphasized North Carolina’s reputation as the “furniture capital of the world,” attracting global manufacturers. The project will receive a Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG) of up to USD 1.4 million over 12 years, based on job creation.
An additional USD 473,375 will support infrastructure improvements in rural areas.
