Germany – According to industry news portal EUWID the German Nolte Goup intends to sell the Group’s RTA furniture producer, CS Schmalmöbel. The sales process began in the fourth quarter of 2015.
Both strategic and financial investors have been approached as potential buyers. The Nolte Group has provided no further details regarding interested parties. The sales process is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016. The Waldmohr manufacturing site’s work force of roughly 400 was informed of the sales process in the last week of January. Clients and suppliers have also been informed.
As a reaction to declines in sales and accumulated losses in recent years, the Nolte Group introduced major restructuring at CS Schmalmöbel at the end of 2012 including a revision of the product portfolio and job cuts. Roughly 100 of the 500 employees at that time have lost their jobs.
