USA – Ashley Furniture, a privately owned company and one of the largest furniture manufacturers globally, started Phase 13 of its expansion plan in its manufacturing complex in Ecru, Mississippi, USA.
The project represents an investment of $ 6 million and includes the expansion of its manufacturing facility and transportation terminal. With this expansion, the Ecru upholstery manufacturing operation will cover an area of 2 million square feet (approx. 186,000 m2) and with it Ashley Furniture will operate the largest upholstered furniture plant in the world.
Only in the state of Mississippi, Ashley Furniture employs over 4,000 people. “We are extremely proud of the relationships we have formed in the communities and surrounding areas of Ecru, Ripley and Verona, Mississippi. Established in 1945, Ashley offers one of the industry’s broadest product assortments to retail partners in 123 countries. The company’s headquarters are located in Arcadia, WI, site of the largest case goods facility in the US with 52 acres under roof.
