BRAZIL - This year’s Interprint Design Week in Sao Paulo, Brazil came with a new perspective: it became a meeting point for international designers, influencers, trendsetters as well as an entire global team of partners, customers and suppliers of the timber and furniture industry.

On March 13 and 14, Interprint launched a spotlight on the main global trends, presenting talks and workshops with artists and influencers, bringing to Brazil the celebrated Scandinavian trend expert Stefan Nilsson, as well as influencers of Brazilian culture Katia Lopes and Lucas Kenji, awarded designer Suzanne Reboh and Maurizio Burrato of Interprint’s International Design Team.

Interprint’s Design Week took place in the “Casa da Fazenda Morumbi”, near the Expo Revestir Pavilion. Expo Revestir, which was held in the same week, presented examples of Interprint’s designs showcased in exhibitor launches.

“At Interprint's Design Week, we have not only seen decors, but also how people act as influencers in choosing design: the very important role of social networks in design development”, says Lourdes Manzanares, Managing Director Sales and Marketing of Interprint Brazil. “We showed as well highlights from the main European trade fairs as designs that we presented in November at our first international HUB Festival in Germany, some of which have already been included in the collections for the South-American market”, she points out. “I am very pleased that our first design festival has already produced results, which we could find exhibited during the Expo Revestir in the new collections of our wood panel customers.”

Franciele Bayer, responsible for Marketing & Design at Interprint Brazil, reveals that there were many points of view. “One could find trends ranging from minimalism and urban style to mid-century, retro and also domestic and regional styles. Such is the ‘joy of life’ approach.”
