ITALY – Gruppo Frati SpA, founded by Luigi Frati in 1960, brings an innovation to the market with the introduction of “Specchio”, a mirror finish melamine panel.

These panels were developed through the cooperation of the Company’s chemical and melamine departments, achieving a result that has never been reached before with standard productive processes.

Month of studies and tests were needed in order to obtain a high level product with top range physical and mechanics characteristics. These extreme high gloss panels are now part the Frati portfolio that includes a collection of 300 decors and 48 different surface finishes.

Gruppo Frati SpA, with factories in Italy and Romania, produces particleboard, medium density fiberboard (MDF), melamine-faced boards, and plastic laminate.

As of 2017 the Group had a particleboard production capacity of 1.100.000 m3, out of which 40,000,000 m2 are melamine panels and an installed capacity for MDF of 420.000 m3.
