CHILE - Wood Week 2015, held from August 26 through 30 was held at the Mopocho Station Cultural Center of Santiago. Organized by the Chilean Wood Corporation (CORMA), the event brought together about 8,000 people, including architects, builders, engineers and designers. 

This event aims to display the different ways in which wood can be used in the construction and design industries. Also featured were presentations from renowned architects Cristián Undurraga from Chile and Sou Fujimoto from Japan, among others.

Arauco’s stand presented all the company’s product brands, offering samples that visitors could directly experience. The company’s exhibit also included Casa Vesto, an initiative in which seven design studios owned by young Chilean entrepreneurs were invited to take on the challenge of designing stylish pieces of furniture for daily use, with Arauco’s Vesto melamine. The result was seven spectacularly modern pieces that furnished a bedroom, a lounge and a dining room.

This event provided a valuable opportunity to share with the community of architects, designers, engineers, carpenters and wood lovers in general, and to display the solutions offered by Arauco
