GERMANY - Hettich gets yet another prize for the Sensys wide-angle hinge, now receiving the "Product Design 2014" Red Dot Award.

Like the Sensys profile door hinge, it has also won the iF Product Design Award 2014.

"The Sensys hinge has proven to be a real success story", Dr. Andreas Hettich says. "When we presented the Sensys hinge generation with integrated Silent System for the first time, it left the Red Dot Award's jury in no doubt and received the prize in the "Product Design 2008" category. We are delighted that the Sensys wide angle-hinge and profile door hinge versions have also triumphed in prestigious design competitions, such as the Red Dot Award and the iF Product Design Award. At the same time, this acknowledgement also confirms we are setting benchmarks in the furniture industry with products of technical excellence."

The Sensys wide-angle hinge gives furniture doors a wide opening angle and closes them evenly and gently. The invisibly integrated Silent System leaves no margin of doubt with its outstanding performance: exceptionally wide self-closing angle of 35°, ideal Silent System function over a temperature range of +5 °C to +40 °C, maximum access from a 165-degree opening angle. Zero protrusion permits the use of internal drawers without spacer profiles.
