INDIA (Notifix). - Indian kitchen manufacturer, Maggpie, obtained with its Chef kitchen the international EDIDA distinction as Best Kitchen of the Year awarded by ELLE Deco Magazine and a jury of its 25 worldwide editors in chief.

This year's winner has the characteristic of having a particular global profile. The manufacturer, Maggpie, based in New Delhi, developed its Chef kitchen based on a concept by German industrial designer Stefan Diez, who selected as the main material, including cabinets and drawers, a rare Brazilian granite. Due to the weight of the material a special solution for drawers was required that would ensure optimum silent, and effortless movement, and for that the designer turned to Grass, the Austrian furniture fittings specialist. Grass responded to the challenge with the DWD XP Agantis system and the Sensomatic electromechanical closing system, making the Chef kitchen not only a reality, but it also an internationally award-winning design.
