Design trends from imm cologne and LivingKitchen 2013

GERMANY (Notifix).- As expected, imm cologne- LivingKitchen 2013 gave a start to this year’s global trends in furniture, kitchen, and textile design. More than 142,000 visitors from 137 countries gathered from 14 to 20 January to be surprised with the proposals of the 1250 exhibitors present.

- This year the megatrend was the natural theme. An interesting example by the German company SPARTART

- Upholstery fabrics with subtle stripes, zigzags, floral, abstract or geometric patterns. As shown by textile designer Soleil Bleu.

- Predominance of small and functional upholstered pieces of soft rounded corners, Porada booth detail

- Wall units - highboards, lowboards, display cabinets - a combination of good design and good quality and the use of concealed LED technology. Evident in Fraubrunnen.

- Strong plain colors continued to set the trend this year, with a strong preference for blue and gray. Here furniture manufacturer Tonon

- For wood patterns, oak in all its variations, was the protagonist. Detail of the Morizza booth.
