BRAZIL (Notifix).- From January to August this year Rio Grande do Sul (RS) furniture sales to other countries exceeded US$ 131 million, 4.5% more than the same period last
year. The information contained in the report of exports, released by the Association of Furniture Industries of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (MOVERGS), together with the Centro Gestor de Inovação (CGI Moveleiro) and the Foreign Trade Secretariat (SECEX) of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC). In addition, Rio Grande do Sul also leads the ranking of State participation in Brazilian exports of furniture, with a 11.2% increase, compared with 2011 results.
