The melamine film provides visual synchronicity due to its natural-looking pore structure and intentional variations in gloss. This innovative new development offers lots of benefits for customers.

Decolay Real is an impregnated decor paper. It covers the market niche between conventional melamine film and high-quality synchronous applications perfectly. The surface effect is produced by intentional differences in gloss, creating a visually synchronous look for the decor and providing a natural-looking pore structure for the subsequent surface.

Schattdecor’s latest product has lots of plus points for customers. The surface effect is created using the customary technique and processed with a standard press plate. This does away with the need for large-scale investment in machine technology, press plates and camera systems. Decolay Real is aimed at customers from the wood-based materials industry who are looking for a visually synchronous surface effect for the furniture sector, without the need for a costly development process.

With Decolay Real Schattdecor is further expanding its impregnated paper product range. Last year, impregnated papers made up about ten per cent of the company’s overall production volume. The Schattdecor Group has 12 channels for impregnating papers at its sites in Italy, Brazil and Russia.
