USA – Pantone has officially announced its 2025 Color of the Year: Mocha Mousse, a warm, rich brown hue described as “earthy sophistication.” The color is designed to capture a global mood of connection, security, and harmony, reflecting a collective desire for comfort and simple, everyday pleasures.
Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, explained that Mocha Mousse symbolizes “mindful indulgence.” She described the color as “sophisticated and lush, yet simple and classic,” adding that it expands the brown color spectrum from “humble and grounded to aspirational and luxurious.”
Mocha Mousse is described as a versatile, timeless shade that complements a wide variety of color palettes. It can be paired with everything from earthy neutrals to soft pastels, or even vibrant tones, making it ideal for both interior design and fashion.
Its refined yet warm tone is intended to create spaces and designs that feel both intimate and elegant.
The choice of Mocha Mousse follows last year’s selection of Peach Fuzz, a soft, pink-orange shade symbolizing community and inner peace. Pantone’s 2025 selection is seen as a shift toward grounding and comfort, with Mocha Mousse drawing inspiration from “quiet luxury” and a deeper connection to nature.
