FINSA launches the 1st edition of the Thinking Wood Awards

SPAIN – Coinciding with the commemoration of World Wood Day on March 21st, FINSA launches the first edition of Thinking Wood Awards, a distinction aimed at highlighting the work using wood done by professionals in architecture, interior design and decoration, and rewarding the best projects implemented with materials made by any of the companies of the Finsa Group.

The competition is open to any type of new construction, renovation or remodeling project using wood wholly or partially in the fields of construction and ephemeral architecture projects. The date of completion of the work must be between 1 January 2013 and 15 March 2016.

The project awarded the Grand Prix as well the other two finalists will be recognized by being part of Finsa’s communication campaign held throughout 2016 and 2017 by means of specialized architecture and design publications. In addition, the winners will be distinguished in a private award ceremony, event that will receive great exposure through Finsa’s internal and external communication channels Finsa, such as web or social networks, where the hashtag #thinkingwood will be used. Projects can be submitted from now until 30 June 2016 through the website www.thinkingwood.finsa.com.

With this initiative, Finsa wants to give the prominence deserved to professionals of architecture, interior design and decoration, as the for Finsa the products manufactured by the company only make sense when used in a real project. In addition, the award allows to emphasize wood, as a renewable, recyclable and sustainable resource.
