GERMANY – Spanish panel manufacturer Finsa participated for the first time as an exhibitor at Orgatec 2018 Cologne, the leading trade fair for office furniture and workspace design.
For its debut Finsa presented avant-garde materials that adapt to meet the demands of new prescribers and that go beyond the classic melamine that is traditionally used in this type of furniture.
The current trends in office furniture go towards the homier office, the incorporation of color and flexibility, with new furniture designs and spaces to respond to new functionalities. And for this sector, traditionally static in the field of materials, Finsa has wanted to show new alternatives. Highlighted were FibraColour, Finsa’s exclusive core colored board; lightweight panels such as Finlight or GreenPanel, highly appreciated in the design aspect for their interior cells; and the compact Compacmel boards.
Finsa’s proposal to the Orgatec public was: “To show them that within engineered wood there are many more materials with which to create these new customized offices or introduce them to more standardized furniture from manufacturers”, explains Maite Rodriguez Calabria, design manager at Finsa.
The design of the stand was based on informal work areas and the home office, in line with the trends seen in Orgatec. Visitors showed great interest in the decorative solutions of the stand that showcased the natural veneers of the Studio Collection as well as the new colors of the Duo Range. Also evident was the markets interest on the origin and the environmental impact of materials, for which Finsa responds with its PEFC and FSC certifications that guarantee that their wood comes from sustainably managed forests.
Finsa’s participation in Orgatec was supported by ICEX and RED, and included other Spanish brands such as Kriskadecor, Omelette-Ed, Vertisol, Grassoler, Equipo DRT and Simon.
