BRAZIL - Eucatex one of Brazil's largest producers of wood panels, which also operates in the paints and varnishes, laminate flooring and doors segments, announced its results for the second quarter of 2021 (2Q-2021).

Total sales revenue in 2Q-2021 reached BRL 556.3 million, compared to BRL 369.3 million in 2Q-2020, an increase of 50.6%, and in the first half 2021 (6M-2021) BRL 1,085.8 million in sales, compared to BRL 738.2 million in 6M-2020, an increase of 47.1%.

In the wood segment, the increase in sales in the 27-2021 quarter was 68.8%, reflecting the growth in sales volumes in the domestic and international markets, compared to 2Q-2020.  During this period, it was possible to try to pass on cost increases in selling prices, which contributed to the increase in net sales. Sales growth in 1H-2021 was 54.1% compared to the same period in 2020.

Recurring EBITDA reached BRL 133.0 million in 2Q-2021, an increase of 106.2% compared to that achieved in 2Q-2020. Recurring EBITDA margin in 2Q-2021 reached 23.9%, an increase of 6.4 points compared to the same period of the previous year. In 6M-2021, Recurring EBTIDA reached BRL 259.8 million, an increase of 97.3% compared to the same period of 2020, and of 6.1 percentage points in the Recurring EBITDA Margin.
