The increase in sales of Dexco's (formerly Duratex) Deca and Ceramic Tiles Divisions combined with the maintenance of high levels of demand in the Wood Division and the capture of price increases announced in all divisions, boosted sales in the second quarter of 2021 to a total of BRL 1,974.1 million, an increase of 88.7% compared to the same period in 2020 and 11.7% compared to 1Q-2021.

It is noteworthy that the consecutive record results led Dexco to close the semester with sales of BRL 3,742.3 million, of which 18.3% came from the foreign market.

The Company ended 2Q-2021 with Adjusted and Recurring EBITDA of BRL 500.2 million, exponentially higher than in 2Q-2020, a quarter heavily affected by the economic downturn. The EBITDA margin for the period was 25.3%, 14 p.p. over the 2Q-2020.

The Company's Recurring Net Income ended the second quarter of 2021 at BRL 251.2 million, an important advance compared to the same period last year, which had its results affected by the COVID-19 crisis. In the semester, the Company presented Recurring Net Income (profit) of BRL 473.6 million, almost seven times higher than the second semester of 2020.

The Brazilian wood panel market continues operating at record levels, with the second quarter of 2021 59.9% higher than the same period of the previous year, while the half-year result was 38.4% above first half 2020, according to data from the Brazilian Industry of Trees (IBA).

The continuous evolution in the wood division's product mix, together with the successful price increase strategy, led to sales totaling BRL 1,118.4 million in 2Q-2021, up 101.4% year-on-year.

It should be noted that the Company recently announced its investment plan for the Wood Division, which includes the acquisition of 3 new wood panel coating lines in the total amount of BRL 180.0 million. These new lines will increase the Division's panel coating capacity by 45.0% starting in 2021, and will enable the conversion of 50.0% of the capacity into coated products.
