BRAZIL - On September 17, Duratex's innovative initiatives were recognized, winning the Valor Inovação award.

Organized by Strategy & - a PwC consultant - and the newspaper Valor Econômico, the award reaches its sixth year selecting the most innovative companies in Brazil.

The achievement of Duratex was motivated by the innovative ecosystem that permeates the company. With the purpose of "Solutions for Better Living", the company has innovation in its essence making the concept a foundation that influences from internal processes to interaction with the client, also through collaboration with the civil construction sector as a whole, with projects and programs involving scale-ups of the segment and construction companies.

One of the highlights considered by the award was the company's internal innovation incentive program, Imagine. The program has a collaborative virtual platform, on which company employees can send suggestions for innovation to be evaluated and implemented by the company. The engagement of all employees in the process, regardless of position and area of activity, allows ideas to arise spontaneously and constantly in the company.

Another highlight of the company described by the Innovation Award was Garagem Duratex, a scale-up acceleration program with great growth potential. The initiative aims to promote the greatest technological development in the civil construction sector, having as its central point the understanding that the consolidation of an innovative ecosystem in the segment is fundamental.
